HBS is reaching out again, this time to our military families! Many Navy families have voluntarily left Japan and are now seeking safe haven in San Diego. They have little more than their luggage, and some with not even that, and are staying at area hotels.

HBS already has a load of supplies we have gathered and Beth has volunteered to cook a Southern Style homemade meal for some of the families. We need your help to do more. A portion of HBS sales will go to help support these families in need. Book your next appointment at HBS and make a difference in the lives of others!

The Surface Force Ombudsman is requesting assistance with the following:

1. They are activating YANA (You Are Not Alone) and are looking for people to make dinners for some of these families. If you are interested in helping out with this, fill the contact form out below.

2. They are requesting non-cash donations, particularly:

Personal care/toiletries

Snacks for families with children

Fresh fruit and vegetables (hotel has fridge/microwave)

Baby diapers

Baby formula

Baby wipes

Baby toys

Microwavable foods

Coloring books/crayons/toys/games for children

If you want to drop off some supplies yourself that would be wonderful, collections will be held at the Force Ombudsman Office (BLDG # 265) on the following dates. The office is across the parking lot from the FFSC on 32nd Street, up the hill from the commissary.

Collection Times:

Friday, April 1st from 10am-12noon

Hair Body & Sol will be giving to this cause throughout April (and in months to come!). You may also drop off donations at Hair Body & Sol, 35 Main Street, Suite C-120, Vista, California 92083.

Proving once again that when you are a member of the HBS family you aren't simply getting an HBS experience by the industries' most highly trained and educated hair artists, you are helping make a difference in the lives of others.  If you are not a HBS family member, you deserve to be!
